Diya Mirza was born on December 9, 1981 in Hyderabad, India.

Her Birth Name is Diya Mirza Handrich and nicknamed Dee.

Her father was a German interior designer; her mother is Bengali. They separated when she was six years old. Her father died when she was nine. When living in Khairatabad, Hyderabad, Diya Mirza attended the Vidyaranya, a school based on the teachings of Krishnamurti, and later Nasr School, in Kushnuma . Later, she moved to Bhandra, Mumbai.


Diya Mirza won the prestigious Miss Asia Pacific title at the beauty pageant held on 2 December, 2000, in Manila. She is the second Indian contestant to be crowned Miss Asia Pacific and the first in 29 years.

She debuuted with "Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein". Though the film did not do too well, it marked her arrival in the industry. After that, film offers continued to pour in. She did "Tumko Na Bhool Payenge", "Tehzeeb", "Dum" to name a few. Today she has several films to her credit and one thing rings clear out of it, she has arrived as an actress.

She is the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie and his then wife Brenda Harvey and socialite Paris Hilton's former best friend. Richie had been looked after by the Richie's since she was 2-years-old but was not legally adopted by them until she was nine years old. Shortly after Nicole's adoption was formalized, Lionel's affair with another woman became public knowledge which resulted in a bitter split, which was highly publicized by the tabloid press. Nicole began attending weekly sessions with a psychotherapist and remained in therapy throughout her childhood. Lionel later re-married, giving Nicole two half siblings: Myles (born 1994) and Sofia (born 1998). In 1986, Richie started kindergarten at The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California where she met Paris Hilton. Richie graduated from Montclair College Preparatory School in 1999. She also studied Arts and Media for two years at the University of Arizona.

Halle Berry was born on August 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA to African American father Jerome Berry, a former hospital attendant, and Caucasian mother Judith Berry, a retired psychiatric nurse. Halle also has an older sister named Heidi Berry. Halle first came into the spotlight at 17 years old when she won the Miss Teen All-American Pageant, representing the state of Ohio in 1985 and, a year later in 1986, when she was the first runner-up in the Miss USA Pageant. After participating in the pageant, Halle became a model. It eventually led to her first weekly TV series, 1989's "Living Dolls" (1989), where she soon gained a reputation for her on-set tenacity, preferring to "live" her roles and remaining in character even when the cameras stopped rolling. The gown worn by Wilde created the illusion of being a one-shoulder number but it was just one of several strategically placed sheer panels.

Olivia Wilde stepped it up and made a bold statement
in her Marchesa," celebrity stylist Mary Alice Stephenson said. "I love that she took a chance and went for it."

Others who chose one-shoulder gowns included Elisabeth Moss in a bronze creation by Reem Acra with a heavily embellished neckline and Sigorney Weaver in a red David Meister. Hayden Panettiere was a retro glamour girl in a red draped J. Mendel that matched her bright red lips.

telling an audience it's important to teach kids family values.

Jimena Navarrete of Guadalajara was first contestant to answer an interview question onstage and the last of 83
standing in the headline-grabbing pageant on the Las Vegas Strip. "I
want to give my parents a big hug; she said at a news conference after
the pageant. There was a lot of effort and a lot of sacrifice.

The train of her single-strap dress floated behind her like a sheet as she walked during the evening gown
competition. Before that, she smiled in a violet bikini as she confidently strutted across the stage.

Asked by Olympic gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek how she felt about unsupervised Internet use, Navarrete said the Internet is important but parents need to be careful and watch over their kids.
